I think the game was rushed to make the release deadline. That way they can go on the record by saying that unlike other companies they always get the game out on time. Unfortunately, this means that some of the things aren't implemented by release. Even though a lot of the missing elements aren't game breaking I'd rather they push the game and release a full game instead of rushing it out the door.
But again, it may be NCsoft that is pushing the release of an on time game so they can make money off of it.

Note that across the industry it's sadly more prevalent to release unfinished products on time than to hold on to things until they're ready. That said, it's better to wait and have a complete product than to gave something "on time" and broken andor incomplete.

Gaile's most recent word on this subject is that the ANet staff responsible for getting NF out the door is now working on various other improvements that they wanted to get into the game which will be free for everyone.
I don't know if party formation is on that list, but hey, I'm always looking forward to new features! (My favorite part of new games)
EDIT: Btw, I don't think its fair to call NF an unfinished product. As it stands now, the game is 99.9% percent done with the exception of elite missions. These new updates are for ALL the Guild Wars games, and not just NF, so I wouldn't directly relate them with Nightfall's release.

Well, so Manual says NF contains Elite Mission and cross-district party formation.
Does NF HAVE this features when bought?
No? Then, sorry Anet but it's FAKE ADVERTISING.
Might as well say it has an auction house too. Whatever...

If Anet is going to implement all these things that you guys are saying they have promised, that will be one huge update. Good Luck Anet!

Nothing in the manual says anything about cross-district party formation.

Mistook it for hero's variable class.
Whatever...just making a point about Anet advertising things that don't exist...yet.

FAKE ADVERTISEMENT !!
FAKE ADVERTISEMENT !!
FAKE ADVERTISEMENT !!
Anyway I know "World of Warcraft" will always be ahead on everything ..
they're always at the cutting edge. and thats the TRUTH.
just because we dont pay monthly subscription ..doesnt mean you cant work as hard Anet.
as for HoH .. I think it's pretty much dead right now..
they always nerf "whatever gimmick build they called" ...
I thought this game is about encountering a build with another build??
people are just arent skillfull enough to encounter these FOTM builds .. and Anet just SLOWLY FREAKIN NERF EVERY SKILL in the FOTM builds...
I dont know about you guys .. but this NERF thing is BS
completly nerfing the build is weak .. they can just make adjustment by making new skills ... but I guess either ppl are lazy to be creative or Anet just dont care enough.
I know lots of ppl are bored already..
As for my self .. after I've beaten NF .. nothin seems to interest me anymore.
I've done everythin' you could think of except cheatin' and scammin'
Right now I'm playin F.E.A.R.
enough bout my rant ..
All I want .. just present the game with what you've promised and written in manual or manuscript.

....how would it be a fake advertisement when it's on the manual which you can't see until you buy the game?

Something is not an advertisement if it's included in the product you already paid for and bought. So no, the manual isn't a false advertisement.

I guess you need to re-read my post. And FYI, I've read my manual.
I didn't say that the game is complete, nor did I say that the manual is perfect (i.e. everything in the manual is in the game). What I said in my post is that how could someone says that since the manual contains something that haven't been added to the game yet, it's a fake advertisement?
Seriously, try read the post before you try to insult anyone.

Hmm party search in other districts sounds like LAG and chat spam to me
Well with my expections of lag and misery i will probably like it when it comes
let's just hope that people doesnt start selling items IF they make a cross-district chat.. there is loads of ppl who doesnt have brain enough to use the trade chat when they have something to sell :S
